GLORIA GLENS PARK VILLAGE

A zoned community established in 1924 and located on the southeastern shore of Chippewa Lake; Ohio's largest natural inland body of water.
Welcome to the Official Website of Gloria Glens Park Village!
This website has been a long term desire of the Village Council, and we are very excited to present it to the citizens of our community. It is our hope that this tool will provide valuable insight to your local government and the community it serves. Here we will post the minutes of each council meeting, and any other important information pertaining to the Village for those unable to attend our regular meetings . Thank you for visiting and please come back again!

COUNCIL MEETINGS
Please come the first Wednesday of each month 7:00 pm at Village Hall. All residents are invited and encouraged to attend. Come get involved!

~ NEWS ~

PUBLIC LAKE ACCESS

The Park District has delayed the installation of their Public Access to the lake. They have applied for a grant the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) to help fund the construction. The western shore of The Lake is the anticipated location for the boat launch, but since the grant application was due on April 1st, it may be many months before The Park District knows anything.

Questions regarding this can be directed to
The Medina County Park District for more information.

Please be aware that although the Medina County Parks District now has possession of Chippewa Lake, the public MAY NOT launch any boat or fish from the the Village's beach front,
canal or island areas. This land is private, and access is only available to residents of Gloria Glens Park Village. Violators will be ticketed.

ANNEXATION
Pending!

The Medina County Commissioners have met recently to review our request
. This means the Annexation could be completed by Council's next meeting in May!

This property which was in Westfield Township, will now be Park property within Village boundaries. Both your Village Council & The Association eagerly await the decision!

This Annexation not only brings the island and beach front into the Village limits, but also includes the pavilion that used to belong to the Chippewa Lake Amusement Park!

Plans for its restoration have not yet been made, however, ideas may be forwarded to your Village Council representatives.

JUST A REMINDER

Signs are put up for a reason.

Every year our community has to deal with rising water & snow. Your Council has developed a specific plan-of-action when this occurs, however, there is always someone who feels it is OK to disregard it.

Please be advised:
Road Closed signs are placed on roadways deemed unsafe for vehicular traffic. If you are caught by the Sheriff's Dept. either moving or going around them, you will be ticketed. The fine is $150.

PARKING VIOLATION BUREAU

The Medina County Sheriff Deputies who patrol our Village will continue to serve and protect our community, but will also cite individuals who park illegally. Hopefully, this will help curtail anticipated parking issues your Council foresees due to The Lake becoming Public Domain.

If you receive a ticket, you will have 2 business days to pay the $20 fine. If you fail to, it goes up to $30. If you choose to ignore it, you will receive a reminder to pay within 30 days. When you don't pay after the reminder, the Bureau will file a judgment against you. All monies collected will go into the general fund.
